We are pleased to announce the creation of the Marconi Club of London Scholarship
Congratulations to the efforts of the Marconi Club Scholarship Committee for seeing the dream of offering a scholarship to young people in our community- come to fruition. It is truly a notable effort and accomplishment. We are proud of this milestone in the history of the Marconi Club. The Marconi Club of London Scholarship Committee is comprised of Carmelo Fotia, Sal Agostinelli, Maria Masciotra and Tom Boniferro. A selection process includes independent professionals who select qualified students of Italian descent from London and surrounding area, who meet specific criteria.

The recipients for 2010 were Stefanie De Vincenzo and Vincenzo Mazza. Congratulations on behalf of the Marconi Club of London.
The committee is working on opportunities for cultural exchange programs.
Your contribution to this noble cause is greatly appreciated.

2012  Fundraising dinner will be on Saturday, May 12, 2012.


SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS

Eligibility.

1. Applicant must be related to a member of the Marconi Club of London and demonstrate an interest in Italian culture through involvement in Italian cultural activities. Activities sponsored by the Marconi Club or other Italian organizations e.g. athletics, volunteer activities is also an asset.

2. Applicant must be.
:: currently enrolled in a secondary school diploma program in Canada and be provisionally accepted in a post secondary institution
3. Applicant must be enrolled full time
4. Applicant’s current academic standing must meet the admission requirements of the post secondary institution.

Requirements

1. Completed and signed application form
2. Transcript of grades for three most recent semesters
3. Listing of employment history
4. Record of extracurricular activities
5. Essay outlining why applicant should be considered for this scholarship.
6. One page essay about Italy
7. Additional information if applicable

Grants

1. Grants are not renewed. Applicant need to apply every year
2. Applications will be reviewed and winner(s) selected by a selected Scholarship Committee.
The Scholarship Committee will consider applicant’s interest, grades, extracurricular activities, employment experience. Application deadline April 15, 2012 Applicant(s) will be notified on or before June 1.
3. Applicant(s) selected may be subject to a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee
