The Women’s Auxiliary maintained the cultural traditions of the regions of Italy at the Marconi Club for decades. They provided members and guests with traditional baking, home-make pasta and gnocchi. They were a valued support to the growing club as it established itself as a banquet facility. This group now meets socially as they enjoy their golden years. It is because of them that subsequent second and third generations have a love and passion for the traditions and cuisine which have been passed down to them. Please note That the Women’s Auxiliary meets every Wednesday, after the General Member’s Meeting, at 1:30 pm. There has been an expression of interest by the younger generation to join the Ladies Auxiliary. As you may know, the present Ladies Auxiliary members are few, but they have in the past been very active and made a great contribution to the growth of the Marconi Club. They have reached a point however, where they can no longer physically commit themselves to any big project, but they still meet socially every Wednesday which is wonderful, and are willing to help and support a group of young people willing to continue this wonderful tradition.
